Where is the graduation ceremony held?
The Graduation Ceremony is held in the Main Theatre of Building 1 on our main campus located at 6363 Sunset Blvd. Hollywood, CA 90028. See map below.

When will my graduation ceremony take place?
Please connect with your Online Student Success Advisor at onlineadvising@lafilm.edu to request your exact graduation date. If you are unable to make your ceremony in its scheduled month, you do have the option to attend a graduation ceremony in a later month. Please email graduation@lafilm.edu to postpone or reschedule your graduation walk date.

When and where do I pick up my cap & gown?
We will hand out your cap & gown one hour before your graduation ceremony at the graduation check-in table located in the B1 Main Theatre.
You may also schedule an appointment to pick up your materials during the week of graduation by emailing graduation@lafilm.edu.

How do I know when my ceremony will be held?
Approximately 8 weeks prior, you will receive an email providing the date and details of your graduation ceremony. If you need information prior to that and know which month you will finish your last class, contact graduation@lafilm.edu. If you do not know which month you are scheduled to finish your coursework, contact your Online Student Success Advisor.

My whole family wants to attend. How many tickets can I reserve?
You may request up to 4 tickets for your guests to attend live. All graduation ceremonies are live-streamed so that anyone you invite can watch if they are unable to attend in person.

Where should I stay, eat and visit while I’m in Hollywood for graduation?

You are responsible for your travel arrangements. If you wish to take a tour of the campus of The Los Angeles Film School while you are in town, please connect with our receptionist and let them know that you would like to join one of our daily tours (times vary).

I can’t attend the ceremony. What happens?
Even if you’re unable to attend a ceremony, your name will be printed in the graduation program, which you can request.
You will receive an email with a link to all of the information required to prepare for your graduation. Remember that you must submit a Graduation Application at least 8 weeks before your graduation, whether or not you wish to attend the live ceremony.
